Kenya's 47 counties are ranked according their Gini coefficient (from lowest to highest). The Gini coefficient expresses the level of inequality on a continuum between 0 (total equality) and 1 (total inequality). The bar chart below shows the poverty gap and the wealth gap for each county.

The poverty gap shows the shortfall between the poor population's mean consumption expenditure compared to the poverty line, expressed as a percentage of the poverty line.

The wealth gap shows how much more non-poor people spend on consumption compared to the poverty line, expressed as a percentage of the poverty line.
