{"id":2062,"date":"2019-08-29T05:59:57","date_gmt":"2019-08-29T05:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/datablog.cde.unibe.ch\/?p=2062"},"modified":"2020-10-12T14:48:33","modified_gmt":"2020-10-12T14:48:33","slug":"sdg-interactions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/datablog.cde.unibe.ch\/index.php\/2019\/08\/29\/sdg-interactions\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge for Sustainable Development: Interactive repository of SDG interactions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 0; margin-top: 0px; border-top: 3px solid #6c9a2e; opacity: 0.3; font-size: 0;\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>This is an interactive repository of SDG interactions documented on behalf of the 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/sustainabledevelopment.un.org\/globalsdreport\/2019\">Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR),\u00a0<\/a>providing additional details on the data presented in <strong>Box 1-2: <em>Interactions among Sustainable Development Goals<\/em><\/strong> as well as the illustrative <strong>Figure 2-1: <em>Systemic interactions related to Goal 2 (zero hunger), <\/em><\/strong>which is inspired by Weitz et al. 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this interactive repository is to reveal the current body of knowledge on interactions between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By assessing 65 global scientific assessments and UN flagship reports as well as 112 relevant scientific articles, interactions between any SDG targets were coded as trade-offs or co-benefits using the 7-point scale developed by the International Council for Science (ICSU, 2017). The interactive repository allows to explore the original sources behind such co-benefits and trade-offs as well as to identify remaining knowledge gaps.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome any comments on the assessments as well as proposals to take this interactive repository further to support decision- and policy making on the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The GSDR team at CDE wishes to thank the following colleagues for their contributions to the systematic literature review: Tania Charlton Christensen, Jakob Fritzb\u00f8ge Christensen, Renate Fleiner, Sarah Hellebek, Johan M\u00f8ller Nielsen, and Alemtsehay Teklay Subhatu.<\/p>\n<p>The team also wishes to thank the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for its financial support.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">How to navigate:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Begin by clicking on the <strong>SDGs<\/strong> tab and then use your mouse pointer to hover over individual \u201cdonuts\u201d where two SDGs interact (listed in top row and left-hand column).
